Track Form Stands Up at Rathcannon.

Horses with previous form inside the rails on the track are always good to follow during the Autumn Point to Point season. This point was proven yet again at the Limerick Foxhound meeting at Rathcannon today.  John Berry took the Open with Give Us A Hand with Mark Scallan in the plate. The 11 year old ran during the summer and this track winner stripped fitter here. This was only one of four winners to transfer from the track, with Charlie Swift taking the Winner of Two for Paul Power and Vincent Halley, while Sharon Dunphy and Johnny Barry won the Older Geldings Maiden with Whatwillwedonext.  Pops Well completed the quartet when winning for Ciaran Fennessy and Paul O’Flynn in the Mares Maiden.  Wexford trainers and jockeys are quick off the mark this season with Barry O’Neill and Colin Bowe winning again this time with the 4 year old Royal Anthem gelding, Royalraise, added to by William Codd and his brother Jamie who hit the mark with Free Run, a 5 year old by Golan.  Horses with previous track form are really well worth taking note of.  Roll on next weekend!
